I have several things that he can borrow unless he wants his own. Insurance may cover all or some portion of these items. I would be happy to get them installed and make them available. Shower seat for bathing, raised toilet seat, aluminum fold up walker and probably some other items I have forgotten about. Let me know and I will be glad to help get them set up. Comments: Alan, God's speed with your recovery. As you know, I had somewhat of a similar experience April 10, 1999 with fractures to my left femer (hip) and pelvis. It has been a year and you saw me Saturday before your accident. So, based on my own experience, I am confident that you will recover from your injuries. The good Lord spared you for a reason. Take one day at a time and keep looking to the future and keep your determination even if you are having a bad day. Have faith, listen to the doctors and I will be checking in from time to time. On the light side, those breathing test are a pain in the ass. They serve a purpose and the aides that administer them all gave me the same line--the doctor orders. Well, after a while, I asked the doctor and he said they were important but if I missed one it would not be a big deal. With that knowledge, the next time the lady woke me up at 2 am for a breathing exercise, I told her where to stick that apparatus and you know, she was a lot frendlier the next time she came around!
